This scheme is primarily meant for students from the economically weaker sections, patronized by the Management.
To visualize what they learn, the college has two well-equipped Audio Visual Rooms, spacious enough to accommodate more than 100 students. The teachers make the learning process more interesting by using these facilities.
A healthy body keeps a healthy mind. To shape up the physique of its students, the College gymnasium, with a number of modern equipment, functions efficiently under the supervision of a qualified instructor.
The ‘talent extraordinaire’ is brought out from every Josephite throughout the year assisted by more than 30 clubs and associations. Each association conducts seminars and workshops to enhance the talents and knowledge of students in their respective areas.
Every student is encouraged to participate in activities to achieve overall development. The College reverberates with intra and inter -collegiate competitions and the intra-collegiate winners are encouraged to test their talents with students of other colleges. Students of SJPUC have time and again proved their supremacy in wherever they have set their foot.
The students are also taught the importance and techniques of conducting formal meetings and how to manage large groups/teams, which would help them to emerge winners in this ever growing and competitive world.
The Parent Teacher Association, formed officially on 26th January 2002, forges a closed knit relationship between parents and teachers with common objective to have better monitoring of their wards, in their Herculean endeavour to make them serve others.
The values of life are imparted to the students by way of theology classes for Catholic students. The College conducts Holy Eucharist (Mass) every month for Catholic students apart from the two-day annual retreat and theology classes. All the students are exposed to value based HRD classes.
The College prepares each Josephite to become socially conscious, ready to serve others and stand for the oppressed. The College has adopted backward villages with an aim to lend its shoulder to uplift the downtrodden. The college reaches out the needy students through the Centre for Social Concern.
The college helps every student build up his character with high values through Leadership seminars, Human Resource Development and Value Education.
The College provides Scholarships and Book-bank facility to the economically weaker students and help them stand on par with others in academic excellence.
Ensures each student gets the same standardized attention academically, oversees smooth conduct of examinations, healthy rapport between teachers and students and guides the Students Council in its activities.
Discipline is maintained in all respects starting from the campus discipline, classroom discipline to examination hall discipline. This committee also deals with the examination malpractice by the students both internal and external.
The grievances of students, attendance monitoring, interaction with the parents of students having problems are attended to by the members of this committee.
