Orientation Programme For Lecturers in Chemistry

St. Joseph's Pre-University College, Bangalore in association with Department of Pre-University Education, Bangalore North District organized A One-day Chemistry Orientation Program for Chemistry Lecturers in the jurisdiction of Bangalore North. The main objective of the workshop was to Experience the joy of learning while teaching. Familiarize with the question paper pattern. Conduct of practical classes. Role of internal and external examiners in practical exams. Discussion on important topics like p-Block Elements, Atomic Structure and Stoichiometry. Develop skills for exploring students mind. The Chief Guest, Shri Ashok Kumar in his address enlightened the role of teachers and ethics in teaching community. The first session was addressed by resource person P. V. Sudarshan, from SJPUC on teaching methodology in p - Block Elements. Prof. S. Lakshmi Narayana Rao, A Retired Octogenarian, narrated the invent of Avogadro Number and Structure of Atom had volumes of references with experimental facts. In the post lunch session, Dr. Ere Gowda discussed question paper pattern and practical chemistry. Certificates and attendance slips were distributed to all the participants from various colleges in Bangalore North. The programme was sealed with a group photo and jubilant smiles.
