The SJPUC OBA was formed on the 31st of January in the presence of the Chief Guest for the occasion, Mr George Ollapally(former President of SJBHS) under the supervision of Rev. Fr. Melvin Lobo SJ, the Principal of SJPUC and its members who were nominated by faculty members. The OBA is a part of St. Joseph’s Pre University College, an institution now administered by the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society, Bangalore.
The OBA follows SJPUC’s motto of "Faith and Toil". The OBA aims to bring into closer union and friendship, all the former pupils of St. Joseph’s Pre University College to animate an interest and connection with their alma mater. The goal of the OBA is to allow former students to reminisce about their time as students, providing opportunities to engage with the students, faculty, and volunteers that make up the SJPUC Family. It desires to perpetuate the pride that sits deep in the hearts of the students.
The Old Boys Association will be the compass and guide to the class of present batch, our newest alumni, that ensures that our future men of influence are never lost. It aspires to create a league of individuals who are bonded in Love and Fellowship, endeavouring to be men for others as partners in the Jesuit effort in forming human beings grown to their full potential. Individuals who will give themselves to the service of others and the Institution’s ideals such as, ‘To give and not to count the cost’, ‘ Cura personalis’ and ‘Magis’. The members will devise strategies to achieve these objectives in keeping with the Articles of Association.
