Press Note-73rd constitution day celebration
73rd constitution day was celebrated to mark our respect towards our constitution and its enshrined principles towards building the nation. The celebration in SJPUC began in the morning at 10:30 with former justice of supreme court of India and former chief justice of Orissa high court, respected Hon’ble Justice V. Gopala Gowda as the chief guest.
The event began at 10:30 am in the Loyola Hall, with the welcome address by Ganapathy of class 2R followed by the Inter-religious prayer team invoking God's blessings, lighting the lamp by all the dignitaries. The celebration began with the documentary screening- making of Indian Constitution followed by a small skit by the political science students on the 'Ideals of the constitution'. Ms. Mini Saji (HOD of Huminites) then formally welcomed and introduced the chief guest for the day, Hon'ble Justice V. Gopala Gowda. Hon’ble Justice V. Gopala Gowda, former justice of supreme court of India and former chief justice of Orissa high court, addressed the gathering with the respect to the key features of the constitution and its significance. The insights given were well received by the student fraternity
It was then followed by the principal's address and the oath was administered by the justice himself. The celebration then ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Bhanuprakash (lecturer in Political science) followed by the national anthem.
