The Department of English at St. Joseph's Pre-University College hosted a unique and vibrant exhibition titled "Healing Under The Canopy", drawing inspiration from Poornachandra Tejaswi's celebrated short story "Around the Medicinal Creeper". The event, held in the college premises on 16 July 2025, was a creative exploration of the healing power and diversity of India’s flora, bringing literature and nature together under one roof. The exhibition was a collaborative effort by all the First PU classes, transforming their literary insights into visual and interactive experiences. The venue bloomed with an array of intricately crafted models, informative charts, and engaging games, all reflecting the richness of India's medicinal and wild plants. Students and Faculty members were invited to walk through this canopy of knowledge, where they could interact with displays on native plant species, their medicinal uses, and ecological significance. Thought-provoking quizzes and interactive activities kept the audience engaged, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
