The Social Concern Team organized Serve and Smile a meaningful visit to Bosco Rainbow Home, a residential facility for 55 underprivileged girls aged 5–17 years on the 29 November 2025. Eighteen II PU students accompanied by 3 faculty members visited the home. The home operates with five dedicated staff members: a Social Mobilizer, Counselor, Home Mother, Manager, and Follow-up Coordinator. Despite poverty, abandonment, and trauma, the residents demonstrated remarkable energy, hidden talents in music, dance, art and clear future aspirations. Many girls lacked paternal figures. They treated our male students as brothers/father figures, responding to advice with profound seriousness. This highlighted their deep need for positive male role models. Each participating class donated books, rice, food items, and stationery materials—received with genuine gratitude. This visit challenged us to move from recognition to action. By institutionalizing our support through volunteering, sponsorship, and mentorship, we can create lasting impact on these 55 girls' lives and contribute to building a more equitable society.
