Genesis has been for the last few years the most popular event in the Bangalore Bible fest circuit. The AICUF Team of SJPUC organized this much-awaited event on 31 October 2020 on a virtual platform. With the theme Resurgite, SJPUC aimed at inspiring courage for the challenges of the year 2020; igniting hope for a better future. The programme met with phenomenal success and witnessed the participation of students from numerous prestigious institutions across Bangalore. The fest hosted multiple online and offline events. Students were asked to send in their submissions to the respective event organizers for the offline events such as Collage, Divine Art (Sketching), Creative Writing, Galilee’s Gallery (Photography), Sermon, Vernacular Solo-Singing and Gospel Serenaders. On 31 October 2020, the programme began with the Inauguration at 9 a.m. in the presence of our Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Lumnesh, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Melvin Lobo SJ, Vice Principal, Mrs Renuka Zechariah, the Campus Minister,Rev. Fr. Wilson Bennis SJ and the Coordinators of AICUF-SJPUC , Mrs Maria Thendral and Mr Melvin Tony This was followed by the online events like Praising Feet (Dance), Animation Video, Battle of Praises (Bands), Noah’s Ark (Air-crash), Bible Quiz and JAM, that were live-streamed on YouTube. The programme concluded with the Valedictory ceremony. St. Claret PU College won the coveted overall trophy, once again. SJPUC secured runners up position while SJIPUC stood third, marking a remarkable culmination to Genesis 2020, the first of its kind online Gospel fest.
