On 26th June 2019, when the world observed 'International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking', St Joseph's Pre-University College, Bangalore, along with a few other Pre-university colleges in the city, took out a rally for the noble cause of spreading awareness to the general public about the ill effects of drugs and the dangers of human trafficking, on the major roads of Bangalore. The students carried placards and posters with educative messages, to make an impact in the society. The rally was flagged off from St Joseph's Boys High School, Bangalore after a brief inauguration. Coach Habeeb, an international motivational speaker, emphasized on the need of making right choice in their lives, while Mr. Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director of the Pre-University Board of Karnataka, Bangalore (north), urged the youth to imbibe the values taught during the 2 years of Pre-university education. Rev Fr Sunil Fernandez, Principal of St Joseph's Boys High School along with the other guests flagged off the rally with their blessings. En route, the students staged street play and a mime at major junctions of Bangalore roads, drawing the attention of the general public. The programme concluded with a few colleges spreading awareness through dance and skit at SJBHS campus.
