Chiguru, a BJES initiative for fruitful collaboration of all sister institutions, with the foresight of learning from each other. This program is three day academic enrichment program for our mission partners which is annually conducted to bring together faculty members from all our mission institutions, creating an opportunity for all us to benefit from the vast knowledge of experts from various BJES institutions.
This is second second consecutive year attended by 19 participants from Karnataka. The attending sister institutions were: Anekal, Manvi, Bannarghatta, Bijapur and Mundgod.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest Rev Fr Cedric Prakash SJ, our Director Rev Fr Roshan David Pereira SJ, Principal Mr. CR Rajendra, and Vice Principal Ms. Smitha Chacko.
The program included General sessions on topics like Reflective Practices of Professionalism, Breaking the Ice with the back benchers and methods to deal with them and Budget from a common man's lens. The above General Sessions were conducted by Fr Olvin Veigas, Dr Rekha and Prof Clement D'Souza respectively.
Subject sessions were held by faculty members of SJPUC followed by a visit to the Vishvesvaraya Museum of Technology. The participants attended the second PUC student orientation held on the 8th of June.The program ended with a Valedictory ceremony which was presided by Rector, Rev Fr Brian Pereira SJ.
