  • INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT HUMAN TRAFFICKING

    26 June is observed as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Human Trafficking. The St.Joseph's Pre-University College organised a Rally to create an awareness about the ill effects of Drug Abuse and Human Trafficking. A prayer session, during which a pledge was taken by the students to safeguard themselves and their peers against addiction, was organised by the Social Service Association and the Music Club. The rally commenced after a prayer by the Campus Animator- Rev.Fr. Ashwin Cordeiro SJ, the Director Rev. Fr. Joy Rodrigues SJ addressed the students and the rally was flagged off by the Principal- Mr. C R Rajendra and The Vice Principal Mrs. Nirmala Raghunandan. Holding placards with creative messages against these two evil practices that plague our society, our student representatives and NCC cadets went around the college campus. The students of the Dramatics Club enacted a Street Play depicting the ill effects of these practices during the lunch break. The entire event was coordinated by the Social Concern Team.
